Wojciech Nizynski

Wojciech Nizynski

Born in 1947, Wojciech Niżyński is a scriptwriter and film and television producer. He studied philosophy and history of art at the University of Warsaw. Thereafter he began work as a journalist. He also wrote song lyrics (receiving the IX FPP award in Opole for his composition Autumn Concert for Two Crickets and Wind in the Chimney). During the 1980s, alongside photographer Janusz Rosikon, he worked on the albums Polish Madonnas and Madonnas of Europe. He is the author of feature-length screenplays, such as: The Magician from Harlem, Return of the She-wolf, Among Wolves, and Curse of the Valley of Snakes. He wrote the screenplay for the first Polish sitcom, In the Labyrinth. as well as many other TV series (Lawyer Group, Fitness Club, Snake's Blood, The Lonely Hearts Club, Regina). Creator of the longest-running Polish TV series Klan (which has screened approx. 2000 episodes since 1997), in recent years he's worked mainly as a producer.
